JETAA Canada National Conference 2024 Reception

On August 9, The Consulate General of Japan in Vancouver welcomed the delegates of the JETAA Canada National Conference 2024 by hosting a reception. Nineteen JETAA chapter delegates came from across Canada, the U.S., Trinidad and Tobago, and Jamaica.
Welcome speeches were delivered by Deputy Consul General Satomi Okagaki, Alena Seibold (JETAA Canada Representative) and Danielle Markewicz (President, JET Alumni Association of BC and Yukon). The reception was also attended by representatives of the Council of Local Authorities for International Relations (CLAIR) and other supporters of the JET Programme.
On August 10 and 11, the delegates engaged in shared information about their chapter activities. As well, they discussed ideas and strategies for serving their members and maintaining member connections between Japan and Canada. Congratulations to JETAABC on hosting a successful conference!
