  The consulate is located on the 9th floor of a black building on West Hastings Street between Bute Street and Thurlow Street. The building is closer to Bute Street than Thurlow Street.  Please enter from West Hastings Street and take a north side elevator at the back to the 9th floor.

 

  The building entrance displays 1177 as shown in the photos below.  Adjacent to the east side of the building is the Pinnacle Hotel Vancouver Harbourfront, and the Coast Coal Harbour Hotel is across the street.

  SkyTrain and SeaBus Stations

 

  The nearest SkyTrain station is Burrard Station and is about an 8-minute walk from the consulate.

From the Waterfront Station (SeaBus/SkyTrain), the consulate is about an 11-minute walk.

 

  Parking
 

  P1 Entrance is at 1177 West Hastings Street (closer to Bute Street)

  P2 Entrance is on the right side of the Marriott Pinnacle Hotel

  Street parking is available on West Hastings Street (the street in front of the building)

•Visa  (Visa for non-Japanese people and Extension of Re-Entry Permit)

Fee Payment & Pick Up  1:00 to   3:00 PM   
 
•Other Consular Services  (Police Certificate, Japanese Passport, and Registration): 9:00 AM to Noon, and 1:00 to 4:30 PM (Appointment Only)
*No Appointment is required to pick up Japanese passports or certificates between 1:00 and 4:30pm.

*Due to security reasons,
During the following hours, the elevator will not stop at the 9th floor.

(2) 12:00pm ~ 0:50pm
If you are a Japanese national and have an urgent matter during the office opening hours, please inform the security guard on the first floor of the building and come up to the 9th floor.

However, the total number of holidays throughout the year is adjusted so as to match the number of public holidays in Japan.
