Consul General Takahashi meets with Kiyou Shimizu, a former member of Japan’s national karate team (2026/9/1)

On September 1, Consul General Takahashi invited Kiyou Shimizu, a former member of Japan’s national karate team (Miki House), who was visiting Vancouver, to his official residence. They exchanged views on combining karate with Japanese culture and other cultural elements, possible events toward the 100th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Canada in 2028, and cooperation with the local Japanese Canadian community.
