“Walk in Canada, Talk on Japan” Delegation Visits Vancouver (10/27-29/19)
2019/11/6
A delegation for the “Walk in Canada, Talk on Japan” program visited Vancouver and held events during their stay.
The program is rooted in the belief that exchanges between people from Japan, Canada and the US can nurture the friendship between their countries at a grassroots level. Having been running since 2014, the program first came to Vancouver in 2016 and the second in March this year - making this time’s event Vancouver’s third time as host city.
The delegation, led by Mr. Monji, former Ambassador to Canada, includes Mr. Kakehashi (Nippon Sheet Glass Company, Ltd.), Ms. Kurosaki (Bloomberg NEF), Mr. Miller (Japan Institute of International Affairs) and Ms. Matsunaka (Fukui University School of Medical Sciences).
On October 28, the delegation held events at the Listel Hotel co-supported by Mokuyokai and the Canada Japan Society of British Columbia as well as at UBC and also took part in a welcome reception held by Consul General Hatori.
