Lord Tennyson Elementary School - Food and Chopsticks (November 16, 2021)
2021/11/16
On Tuesday, November 16, the Consulate's staff and volunteers visited Ms. Christine Simister’s Gr. 6/7 class of 27 students at Lord Tennyson Elementary School (SD39) for a Food and Chopsticks (食べ物とお箸) workshop as part of the 2021-2022 ‘Touch of Japan’ school outreach project.
The Food and Chopsticks topic introduces students to the art of Japanese cuisine via realistic food models, a chopstick tutorial and bead relay race, as well as a presentation, trivia quiz and video.
We hope the students had a memorable time. A big thank you to Ms. Simister and her Gr. 6/7 class at Lord Tennyson! Arigatou!
