On March 7, Deputy Consul General Sugio attended the 53rd Steveston International Karate Tournament and delivered his opening remarks. He met with Richmond City Mayor Malcolm Brodie, Minister of Emergency Management and Climate Readiness of the BC Government, the Honourable Kelly Greene, former President of Judo Canada Jim Kojima, as well as tournament founder Mr. Takeshi Uchiage and others.
