  On October 21, Mr. SAWADA Masao received a congratulatory letter and commemorative gift from the Prime Minister of Japan on the occasion of his 100th birthday, while celebrating his longevity with his family. Mr. Sawada was very energetic and spoke to Consul General Hatori at length about his wartime experiences and his life after arriving in Canada. Consul General Hatori sincerely hopes that Mr. Sawada continues to enjoy his happy and healthy life with his loving family.
