Donation for Noto Peninsula Earthquake Relief

We would like to express our sincere gratitude for the many warm words of sympathy and offers of support regarding the Noto Peninsula earthquake that struck the Noto region on January 1, 2024 (referred to as the “Noto Peninsula Earthquake”). If you would like to support, we are grateful for your cooperation in any of the following ways.
 
1. Donation via the Consulate General of Japan in Vancouver
Donations received at the Consulate General will be remitted to the Government of Japan later, and all donations will be sent to the people affected.

* If you wish to donate to the Japanese Red Cross Society via the Consulate General, please write "ATTN the Japanese Red Cross Society" in the memo section of the cheque. All donations remitted to the JRCS via the Consulate General will be delivered to the people affected directly as a "donation", not as a "relief money" to be used for the activities of the JRCS.
 
* If you wish to receive a receipt, please enclose with your cheque a memo (in any format) stating that you wish to receive a receipt and your name, address, and e-mail address. Please also note that your donation cannot be recognized as a tax-deductible donation because the Consulate General is not a registered Canadian charity.
