The Order of the Rising Sun, Silver Rays awarded to Ms. Mary Kitagawa

 
　On November 3, the Government of Japan announced the recipients of the 2025 Autumn Conferment of Decorations on Foreign Nationals. In British Columbia, Ms. Mary Kitagawa, former Member of the Human Rights Committee of the Greater Vancouver Japanese Canadian Citizens’ Association, is awarded the Order of the Rising Sun, Silver Rays for her contribution to “the improvement of the social status of Japanese Canadians and the promotion of understanding of Japan.”
