Awarding the Foreign Minister’s Commendation for FY 2021 to Ms. Mari Miyasaka, Fraser Journal Publishing owner

On March 23, Ms. Mari Miyasaka, Fraser Journal Publishing owner, received the Japanese Foreign Minister’s Commendation for FY 2021 at the official residence of the Consul General of Japan in Vancouver.
Ms. Miyasaka has been publishing the free magazine "FRASER" since 1992 and has provided a wide variety of information in Japanese to the Japanese Community in Vancouver. She has also organized charity events including those for Japan's natural disaster recovery and others for Canada, serving as a bridge between communities in Japan and Canada. In addition, she has been teaching as a Japanese teacher at the Vancouver Japanese School for 30 years, contributing greatly to the education of Japanese children living in Vancouver.
Consulate General Hatori presented Ms. Miyasaka with the Certificate, expressing his respect and gratitude for her significant achievements in promoting mutual understanding between Japan and Canada.
