Awarding the Consul General’s Commendation to Mr. Koichi Kaye Kaminishi, Former Vancouver Asahi Baseball Player

On August 14, the Consul General presented the Consul General’s Commendation to Mr. Koichi Kaye Kaminishi, a former member of the Vancouver Asahi baseball team. Mr. Kaminishi, who is the only living member of the former team, has contributed to the promotion of mutual understanding and friendship between Canada and Japan for many years through his support of youth teams. The ceremony was attended by members of the youth team that recently visited Japan, as well as other related parties, who joined in wishing Mr. Kaminishi continued good health and best wishes.
