On January 13, a Kakehashi Project Young Leaders Workshop was held at the Nikkei National Museum & Cultural Centre in Burnaby. The event was a follow-up to the 2022-3 Kakehashi Project, a program that promotes a deeper understanding of Japan. The workshop, attended by approximately 60 participants, including local high school and university students in British Columbia, Japanese and other international students, provided an opportunity to expand their interest in and understanding of Japan through presentations by Kakehashi Project participants on their experiences visiting Japan, hands-on experience of Japanese culture such as tea ceremony and origami, and learning about the history of Japanese Canadians.
