Synopsis: A film adaptation of the rakugo story, "The Tale of Ino Tadataka: The Road to Taiga", by storyteller Tatekawa Shinosuke. This drama spins a tale of Ino Tadataka, who completed a map of Japan in 1821, which is set in two different periods, the Edo period and the present.
Ikemoto Yasuharu (Nakai Kiichi), who works at the city office, decides to produce a historical drama featuring Ino Tadataka, a renowned local man, as the main character. However, as he proceeds with the project, a startling revelation is made that Ino died before he could complete the map. (Japanese Film Database)
