Consul General Maruyama attends the 50th Anniversary Celebration of JALTA 2024.04.21

On April 21, Consul General Maruyama attended the 50th anniversary celebration of JALTA (Japanese Language Teaching Association) and made a congratulatory speech.



Consul General meets Ms. Laurie Peters, Director General for Expo 2025 Osaka, Global Affairs Canada 2024.4.18

On April 18th, Consul General Maruyama met with Ms. Laurie Peters, Director General for Expo 2025 Osaka, Global Affairs Canada and had a conversation on about the Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai.


Consul General attends a speaker event by Honourable Brenda Bailey, BC Minister of Jobs, Economic Development and Innovation 2024.4.16

On April 16th, Consul General Maruyama attended an event organized by the Canada-Japan Society of British Columbia (CJSBC) and the Japanese Business Association of Vancouver (Konwakai), and delivered remarks. The Honourable Brenda Bailey delivered a presentation with her valuable insights on strengthening the BC-Japan economic relationship.



Consul General Maruyama calls on Vancouver Mayor Ken Sim 2024.4.12

On April 12, Consul General Maruyama, together with Ambassador Yamanouchi, paid a courtesy call on Mayor of the City of Vancouver Ken Sim and exchanged views on strengthening the friendly relationship between Japan and Vancouver. (The City of Vancouver is a sister city of Yokohama City, Japan.)


Consul General Maruyama Calls on Honourable Janet Austin OBC, Lieutenant Governor of BC 2024.4.11.

On April 11th, Consul General Maruyama, together with Ambassador Yamanouchi, paid a courtesy call on the Honourable Janet Austin OBC, Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia, and exchanged views on how to further strengthen the cooperative relationship between Japan and BC in the future.


Consul General Maruyama pays a courtesy call on Premier David Eby 2024.4.10

On April 10th, Consul General Maruyama, together with Ambassador Yamanouchi, paid a courtesy call on the Honourable David Eby, Premier of British Columbia. During the meeting, a wide range of views were exchanged on how to strengthen relations between Japan and British Columbia, including the expansion of trade and the promotion of various exchanges such as youth exchange.



Consul General attends Entrance Ceremony at Vancouver Japanese School 2024.04.07

On April 7, Consul General Maruyama attended the 52nd Entrance Ceremony of the Vancouver Japanese School and made a congratulatory address to a total of 54 new students.
