Consul General Takahashi attends the Sakura Gala Dinner, hosted by the Nikkei Place Foundation (2026/3/7)

On March 7th, Consul General Takahashi with his wife attended the Sakura Gala Dinner, hosted by the Nikkei Place Foundation. The charity event was held to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the establishment of Nikkei Place, and was attended by approximately 100 guests, including local Japanese Canadians, the Honourable Gregor Robertson, Federal Minister of Housing and Infrastructure, Burnaby Mayor Mike Hurley, and other political and business figures.
Consul General Takahashi led a toast at the beginning of the dinner, and in his remarks, paid tribute to the journey of Japanese Canadians in Canada to date, and expressed his wishes for the continued prosperity of the Japanese Canadian community in the future.
