On July 11, Consul General Takahashi attended the signing ceremony for the “Sister City Declaration” commemorating the 60th anniversary of the sister city relationship between the cities of Burnaby and Kushiro, and delivered a speech. The declaration was signed by Daniel Tetrault, Acting Mayor of Burnaby, and Hidenori Tsuruma, Mayor of Kushiro. Mayor Hurley attended online from Kushiro.
