JALTA (Japanese Language Teachers Association) Awarded a Foreign Minister’s Commendation

  On July 27, Consul General Hatori presented JALTA (Japanese Language Teachers Association) with a Foreign Minister's Commendation certificate. The award was first announced back in 2020 in recognition of JALTA's longstanding efforts to promote Japanese language education, but due to the impact of COVID-19, it was difficult to secure a place to present the award in-person. However, after the BC government’s easing of public health restrictions, it finally became possible to do so, and the Consulate General was able to share the joy of the award’s recipients with all those involved.
