29^th Annual BC Japanese Speech Contest Preliminary Selection Announcement

The British Columbia Japanese Speech Contest Organizing Committee is pleased to announce the results of the Preliminary Selection for the 29^th Annual British Columbia Japanese Speech Contest. Congratulations to those selected and thanks to all who have applied to our contest.

The Speech Contest will be held on March 4, 2017 (Sat) at the Asian Centre, UBC. (Map) The High School Division Speeches are tentatively scheduled to start at 10:00am. University/Open Division begins at 1:00pm.

All high school contestants should check-in between 9:15 - 9:30am and university/public contestants before 12:30pm. Family, friends and all interested are welcome to join us. Please note that these times are tentative. The final schedule will be announced on the website prior to the Contest.

*Please submit the final draft of your speech to programs@vc.mofa.go.jp as a Word file by March 3, 2017 (Fri). The file name should include your last and first name, as well as your division and category of entry. E.g. “Smith_John-University-Intermediate”.
