From October 16th to 17th, Consul General Hatori and his wife Mrs. Hatori, visited the City of Victoria, the Town of Lake Cowichan and Sidney.
While in Victoria, Consul General Haotri made a courtesy call on Mayor Lisa Helps and dialoged about the sister city relationship between Victoria and Morioka City in Iwate Prefecture, Japan. Consul General Hatori also met with members of Victoria Japanese Friendship Society, Victoria Nikkei Cultural Society and Victoria Japanese Heritage Language School Society.
In Lake Cowichan, Consul General made a courtesy call on Mayor Rod Peters and dialoged about the sister city relationship between Lake Cowichan and Date City in Hokkaido Prefecture.
Lastly, in Sidney, Consul General made a courtesy call on Mayor Cliff McNeil-Smith and dialoged about the sister city relationship between Sidney and Niimi City in Okayama Prefecture.
