2017 JET Programme Welcome Back Reception
2017/11/4
On Friday, November 3rd, a Welcome Back Reception was held at the Consul General’s residence for the Japan Exchange & Teaching (JET) Programme participants, who returned to British Columbia in 2017. In all, 33 participants returned to British Columbia, this year.
During the opening ceremony, Tai Lam (President, JET Alumni Association of BC and Yukon) and Christian Hansen (Director, Pacific Regional Office, Global Affairs Canada) welcomed back the participants in attendance. The participants were asked to share their most memorable stories of Japan, which greatly amused the guests. Consul General Asako Okai gave a warm toast to the returnees, hoping that they will continue to serve as a bridge between Canada and Japan.
