Cherry Blossom Month Proclamation at Vancouver City Hall

  On April 5, Consul General Okai joined Mayor Gregor Robertson of Vancouver with representatives from the Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival, Japan Fair Association of Vancouver and the Vancouver Park Board beneath the fully blooming cherry blossoms at City Hall for a Kagamiwari or “Sake barrel opening” to officially proclaim “Cherry Blossom Month”. The proclamation was read out by Mayor Robertson.
