MEXT Scholarship Alumni Association Annual General Meeting

The MEXT Scholarship Alumni Association (MEXTSAA) held its Annual General Meeting at the Consulate General of Japan on March 23.
Eight alumni met to discuss the direction of the association’s activities for the upcoming year, as it continues to raise its profile and grow. It hopes to inspire more alumni to join the group to provide a valuable network and support the promotion of studying in Japan. The association consists of former students, who studied at universities in Japan, through grants or scholarships offered by the Government of Japan.  Also in attendance were two 2017 MEXT Scholarship recipients, who will be leaving in early April to commence their studies. Following the AGM, a reception was held.
The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) of the Government of Japan offers Undergraduate, Japanese Studies and Research Student Scholarships to foreign students who wish to study at Japanese universities. Students study in a variety of fields, including Arts, Social Sciences, Science and others.
Alumni who would like to join the association can contact the Consulate General of Japan at jet [at]
