On Thursday, November 24th, a Welcome Back Reception was held at the Consul General’s residence for the Japan Exchange & Teaching (JET) Programme participants, who returned to British Columbia in 2016. In all, 28 participants who originally departed from B.C., completed their participation in the program this year.

Returning JET Programme participants shared their most memorable moments in Japan, including interactions with students and local residents in the communities where they lived and worked. Their anecdotes highlighted their role as a bridge between Canada and Japan.

Members from the JET Alumni Association of BC (JETAABC) joined the reception. Representatives of Japan-related and international education organizations in B.C. were also present.
