Consul General Okai Attends Welcome Dinner for Wakayama City Delegation in Richmond, BC

From October 29^th to 31^st, Mr. Masahiro Obana, Mayor of Wakayama City　and the delegation of City Councilors visited the City of Richmond.  Given the historical fact that Steveston in Richmond thrived by the effort of Japanese immigrants from Wakayama, Sister City relationship started in 1973.  Consul General Okai attended the welcome dinner hosted by Mayor Brodie of Richmond and joined the tour of the Olympic Oval.  Consul General extended her willingness to support the promotion of tourism and products of Wakayama as well as educational exchanges.
