Commendation Ceremony for Mr. Robert Tadashi Banno, Q.C., President of the Nikkei Place Foundation

A ceremony to formally confer the decoration to Mr. Robert Tadashi Banno, Q.C., President of the Nikkei Place Foundation was held at the residence of Consul General of Japan on September 13th. On April 29th, His Majesty the Emperor of Japan conferred upon Mr. Banno, The Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Rays in recognition of his outstanding contribution to promote mutual understanding and friendship between Japan and Canada. At the ceremony, Consul General Okai conferred the Patent of the Decoration and the Order upon Mr. Banno on behalf of the Government of Japan.
