Consulate participates in Multiculturalism Day Celebration
2016/7/5
The Consulate General of Japan in Vancouver participated in the Vancouver Public Library’s Multiculturalism Day Celebration held at the Central Library in downtown on June 27th, 2016. Consulate staff organized a booth displaying cultural and travel materials to showcase Japan.
Many people visited Japan’s booth to learn about Japanese culture and to enquire about traveling in Japan. Visitors also enjoyed wearing yukata, playing kendama and watching a kendama performance by Craig Langkaas, professional Kendama player. Later in the day, Joseph Wu, well-known origami artist, demonstrated folding some complex origami figures.
