Appointment of Japanese Cuisine Goodwill Ambassador

Thursday, June 16th 2016, Consul General of Japan in Vancouver – Ms. Asako Okai delivered in person the certificate of “Japanese Cuisine Goodwill Ambassador” to the owner and chef of Tojo’s Restaurant – Mr. Hidekazu Tojo.
Mr. Hidekazu Tojo has been active in the scene of Vancouver’s Japanese cuisine since the 1970s. He opened “Tojo’s Restaurant” in 1988 and has received countless awards and dedicated himself to spread Japanese culinary culture.
“Japanese Cuisine Goodwill Ambassadors” are appointed to actively help spread Japanese cuisine and culinary culture within and outside of Japan.
