Consulate Participates in Cherry Blossom and Sakura Events

As early cherry blossoms brightened Vancouver, the Consulate General of Japan was pleased to take part in three springtime events. At Cherry Jam Downtown, Sakura Days Japan Fair, and at the Blossom Barge, a display table providing information about Consulate programs, travel and the culture of Japan was set up and the Consulate supported Japanese performing arts groups.

Sakura Days – Japan Fair 2016
The grounds of the VanDusen Garden became a Japan-themed festival with food stalls, displays, and performances as 2016 Sakura Days Japan Fair took place there over the April 9th weekend.

Consulate General of Japan at Granville Island Public Market
With Consulate support, visitors to the Granville Island Public Market were treated to Japanese entertainment as the newly launched Blossom Barge tied up just outside the popular venue on April 16 and 17.
