The World of Japanese Woodblock Printing with David Bull

Active traditional Japanese woodblock printmaker from Tokyo, Canadian Mr. David Bull, gave two fascinating demonstrations and talks about his work and the technique of woodblock printing to enthusiastic audiences on March 7 and 9.
Using a set of vintage 1936 original woodblocks, Mr. Bull spent nearly two hours printing two twenty-colour woodblock prints while explaining the printing process and telling stories from his thirty years of experience in Asakusa, Tokyo, Japan as a printmaker in lively interactive sessions held at the David Lam Centre, SFU and at Kwantlen Polytechnic University.
