2015/5/20
Consul General Okada made a speech of encouragement for interns.
Mr. Murray Hill, the lecturer of the Canada-Japan Co-op Program Training Week, proposed a toast to interns.
On May 7, the Send-off Reception of the Canada-Japan Co-op Program students was held at the Consul General’s official residence.  The students will work as interns in Japanese companies for 3-12 months.
Established in 1991, the Canada-Japan Co-op Program has been sending selected undergraduate students from universities and colleges across Canada to companies in Japan as interns in order to provide them with career-oriented work experience. With support from Japanese businesses and Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada, over 900 students have participated in the program. (Please go to the program website www.thecoopjapanprogram.comfor details.)
Interns enjoyed talking with Consul General Okada.
