Consul General Okada addresses the audience
Keynote speaker Art Miki tells the story of the redress movement
On October 28th, the fifth forum in the PARALLEL PATHS series was held at the Nikkei National Museum and Cultural Centre.  Following the opening remarks about consulate activity by Consul General Okada, keynote speaker Art Miki presented a full and concise chronology of the redress movement.  Beginning with its founding, he traced the path it travelled along a winding road of hard work and disappointment before finally achieving success in 1988.  Through his first-hand account and anecdotes about the interaction among the players behind the scenes, attendees were treated to a highly insightful presentation.  Panelists Roy Miki, Henry Shimizu, and John Endo Greenaway added valuable insights to the discussion with their own stories and questions.
