Synopsis: Toshiyuki and Chiyoko are the heart and soul behind "Lucky Grocers," a quaint grocery store nestled in the bustling city of Hakata. Toshiyuki, with fond memories of his childhood in Busan, dedicates his days and nights to perfecting the art of making "mentaiko," a deeply flavored spicy cod roe that he cherished growing up. One fateful day, Toshiyuki encounters a young girl, clad in tattered clothes, trying to steal from his store. To his surprise, she turns out to be his son's classmate. Upon discovering that she is an orphan of war, struggling to afford even the basics for a school trip, Toshiyuki is moved to extend a helping hand. (Japanese Film Database)
