Consul General Okai Invited as Special Guest to Steveston Salmon Festival

  On July 1, Consul General Asako Okai was invited as a special guest to take part in the Steveston Salmon Festival in Richmond, BC. The Salmon Festival dates back to 1945 and has grown into one of the largest-scale Canada Day events in the whole country. In addition to the famous salmon barbeque, there were a variety of family-friendly festivities celebrating the rich heritage of the Japanese-Canadian community.
