British Columbian Awarded Japan's Prestigious Order of the Rising Sun

On November 3, 2011, the Government of Japan announced the recipients of its Autumn Decorations. In British Columbia, Mr. Yuzuru Kojima, former President of Judo Canada, Vice President of the Richmond Sister City Committee, is awarded the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Rosette for his contribution to the promotion of sports exchange and mutual understanding between Japan and Canada through Judo.

A conferment ceremony will be held on December 9, in Vancouver.
