The 2011 Visit of Japanese Training Squadron Itinerary

 

Wednesday, June 15
9 a.m.: Anchor at Burrard Dry Dock Pier at the City of North Vancouver. (map)(2.05MB)
11 a.m.: Welcome ceremony hosted by the City of North Vancouver.
2:40 p.m.: Naval officers lay commemorative wreaths at Victoria Park Cenotaph.
3:30 p.m.: Naval officers lay commemorative wreaths at Japanese Canadian War Memorial at Stanley Park.

 

Thursday, June 16
1:30 p.m. ~ 3:30 p.m.: JS Mineyuki opens to the general public at Burrard Dry Dock Pier.

 

Friday, June 17
9:30 a.m. ~ 11:30 a.m.: JS Mineyuki opens to the general public at Burrard Dry Dock Pier.

 

Saturday, June 18
9:00 a.m.: Vessel departs Vancouver from Burrard Dry Dock Pier.

 

Notes:

  • Anyone interested in welcoming or sending-off the Japanese Training Squadron is asked to arrive at the above indicated time and location. No registration is required.  Staff of the Consulate-General of Japan will be handing out flags to greeters. 
  • Anyone is welcome to visit the vessel for a free tour during the general public opening hours.  For safety reasons, wheelchairs and strollers are not permitted onboard.
