Japanese Foreign Minister’s Commendations for FY 2011

1      On July 25th, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan announced the recipients of the Foreign Minister’s Commendations for FY 2011. In British Columbia, Ms. Ruth Reiko Suzuki has been awarded the Foreign Minister’s Commendation for her contribution to the promotion of cultural exchange through music between Japan and Canada.

2      A number of people, working in various international fields, have been contributing to promoting friendly relations between Japan and other countries. The commendation aims to recognize the outstanding achievements of those individuals and groups.

A ceremony for commendation in Vancouver will be held at the official residence of the Consul General of Japan, around the end of August or the beginning of September.
