Japan-Canada Youth Exchange in B.C. ~ The Kakehashi Project ~A group of 25 students and chaperons from Shimodate First High School, in Ibaraki, Japan, visited Vancouver from March 16th to 25th. Their visit was a part of bilateral youth exchange programs between Japan and North American countries, organized by Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan. Students enjoyed activities at a local school and a home-stay with Canadian families. Also, they made courtesy calls to the Honourable Judith Guichon, Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia and the Honourable Amrik Virk, Minister of Advanced Education, and interacted with Japanese Canadians during visits to Vancouver Japanese Language School and Tonarigumi.
