2012 Canada-Japan Co-op Program Send-Off Reception

On May 10, a reception was held at the Consul General’s official residence to send-off 26 students to Japan. As the 2012 Canada-Japan Co-op Program participants, they will be working as interns in Japanese companies.
Established in 1991, the Canada-Japan Co-op Program has been sending selected undergraduate students from universities and colleges across Canada to companies in Japan as interns in order to provide them with career-oriented work experience. With support from Japanese businesses and Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada, over 800 students have participated in the program. (Please go to the program website www.thecoopjapanprogram.com for details.)
