Consul General Ito's Presentation in Prince George

On Wednesday January 12, Consul General Ito gave a presentation on ‘Trading in the Asia Pacific Gateway’ at the British Columbia Natural Resource Forum in Prince George.
 
In his presentation Consul General Ito underlined the increasingly stronger relationship between Japan and Canada. Consul General Ito pointed out that Japan is the second largest export partner and the third largest import partner of British Columbia. He added that a spate of Japanese companies had announced their participation in mining development and natural gas projects.

The Forum demonstrated that enormous attention is being paid to BC’s natural resource industries as there were a great number of attendees, including provincial ministers, MLAs, government staff, municipal representatives, lumber and mining business representatives, and local media.
