The 25th Anniversary of Canada-Japan Science and Technology Cooperation

Special Lecture- A Gift from Space by Dr. Mamoru Mohri

A special lecture was held on September 24th at the Vancouver Japanese School by visiting guest, Dr. Mamoru Mohri. Dr. Mohri is Japan's first space shuttle astronaut and is currently the Chief Executive Director of the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation (Miraikan) in Tokyo. Around 600 people attended this lecture in Japanese, including 150 students from Vancouver Japanese School, 170 students from the schools of Japanese Language Teachers Association of BC, as well as parents.
