Like other nobles, Princess Iratsume is wrapped up in the new trend of Buddhism. Yet, she has taken it to a level of obsession and spends most of her time copying sutras. After finishing her thousandth copy she sees a radiant floating image that she believes is the Buddha between mountains. She reaches the foot of the mountain and finds herself in a temple. That night while she sleeps in the temple, the figure appears to her. (This presentation is a stop motion puppet animation film.) (2005, 70 min. Japanese with English subtitles. Parental Guidance). |

Former police detective Soichiro confesses to murdering his wife following her request to relieve her suffering. But he refuses to explain his movements for the days between the murder and his surrender. As a reporter investigates and his trial reaches a verdict, a moving story emerges.
