JET Programme - Overview
The Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Programme aims to enhance internationalization in Japan by promoting mutual understanding between Japan and other nations through fostering ties between Japanese youth and foreign, young professionals, from 36 countries. Participants have the opportunity to gain valuable overseas work experience, learn about Japanese language and culture, and meet participants from around the world, while contributing to English language education and international understanding.
In 2011, 48 participants departed from Vancouver out of 206 from across Canada. Read our 2011 JET Programme Press Release.
For a complete programme description and eligibility criteria visit the Embassy of Japan in Canada's JET Canada website. Look at our other JET Programme resources and consider attending an information session.
Applications for the 2012 JET Programme are currently available. |
